At IIT Jodhpur, I am currently teaching the following courses: Educational Technology (PhD), Learning Sciences (PhD), Instructional Design (MDes), Basics of Pedagogy at the Secondary Stage (ITEP), Content-cum-Pedagogy of Physical Sciences-I (ITEP), and Social Science Research Methods (MSc). In the past, I have taught the following courses to ITEP students: Evolution of Indian Education, Teacher & Society.
Teaching has always been an energizing and stimulating experience for me. I view learning as an active, reflective, and collaborative process, and I design learning spaces that encourage students to articulate and express their thinking and reasoning, ask questions, and engage in meaningful dialogue. I believe that classroom is not merely a space for transmitting knowledge but a site where ideas are tested, contested, and connected to the world beyond curriculum.
My teaching is grounded in the understanding that a single learning theory cannot comprehensively explain the dynamic and diverse nature of the learning process. I draw on a variety of theoretical perspectives, including cognitivism, constructivism, and situated learning, to 'Design for Learning (DfL)' across different contexts, learners, and goals. I am intentional about the four critical dimensions of learning: what is taught, who the learners are, where the learning takes place, and when it occurs.
In my role as an educator, I emphasize the following key principles:
Authentic Practices
Active Learning
Collaborative Learning
Meaningful Technology Integration
